Stationery Store Recommendations

 Here's some places I recommend for finding cheap and/or quality journal supplies, as well as some of my favorite Etsy artists for stickers/journals/etc! As with the recommended supplies, I'm not at all affiliated with any of the stores on my list, it's just the list I'd give a friend:

Recommended Stores

  • TJ Maxx- Great for finding cute notebooks for only $5 each! Perfect place to get your first journal, it's where I got my first!
  • Five Below- Same as above, but also great for stickers ($1 each) and pens! They even have washi tape, glue, brush-tip markers, and scissors!
  • Micheals- Sells stamp sets, material paper, high quality journal & scrapbooking supplies, a little more on the expensive side.
  • I Go Tokyo - A small business focused on selling Japanese imports in Chattanooga! I absolutely adore their stationery products, and the in-store environment is nice! Unfortunately, only a limited amount of their stock can be purchased online. If in person, they have a WONDERFUL sticker selection at only $3 per!
  • Yoseka Stationery - A small family-owned business created in 1981 with a wonderful selection of personalized stationery to choose from
  • Stickii Club - A monthly sticker subscription (sometimes with stamps!), but you can also just buy old packs or stickers directly from their site
  • Scrapbook.com - Aaah, a classic. A bit more on the pricier side, but will have most anything you need in regards to seasonal stamps. Also gives wonderful clearance deals!

Recommended Artists

  • StarmintArt - I own one of their blank sketchbooks as a journal. It's high quality paper, and their stickers have very quality prints with a lot of color vibrancy as well!
  • Bunnytales - Adorable art style, with stickers from $2+, you pick what you pay! They also have a RedBubble. I often don't recommend RedBubble due to the rampant art theft, but this artist is confirmed to be the one making the art for this account: Bunnytales on RedBubble. Stickers here are only $1.79.
  • SinspawnArt - A personal favorite of mine, many of the stickers are very large- keep this in mind- so great for the value and great for putting on journal covers as decoration
  • TrytryagainShop - Her sticker sheets are wonderful for spreads!

Sharky's Weekly Spread Ideas #1

      Can't think of what to write, or only have two pages left in your journal and you fear a full entry will need more than that? I find myself with this issue fairly often myself, and I'm here to help you!  ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ There's a wide array of spread inspo you can find on Pinterest, but sometimes doomscrolling becomes too all consuming, so I find it's often easier to make a list and work based on that! Here's the first weekly Sharky's list of spread ideas, part one (all with example images)! 1. Bingo This idea is very simple! You decorate your page and create a bucket list of things to do within a specific time frame. I like to do seasonal, so Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter! I Am an Ebay Goblin (and You Should Be, Too!)

     Ebay is an underrated treasure trove of cheap journal supplies. Every now and then I find myself as I eat my bowl of cereal scrolling through the listings of the "journal destash" (or "scrapbook destash") search tag on the wonderful world of Ebay. I used to sort by price lowest to highest, but now I prefer to search by newest listing, hoping to find a good deal before someone else snatches it away from me. It can be a difficult battle, as listings are constantly going up, some being way more reasonable than others. Some are obvious attempts to make money off of an item they bought for half of that. The same is true for Depop, which I mostly avoid nowadays due to Aliexpress/Temu resellers flocking to in droves to see who can make the next penny off of unsuspecting users.
